About LogisticPro

A web app for freight forwarders: one workspace per company for shipments, documents, and the books.

What the application is

LogisticPro is a logistics management dashboard for one company. Users sign in and run daily work from master data, quotations, purchase orders, work orders, fleet, vendors, invoices, cash, and reports. That company’s customers can check a shipment on the public tracking page without signing in.

What it is for

So operations and finance share the same records. A work order is the document for one shipment job. Quotations, customer purchase orders, invoices, and vendor costs attach to that flow, then post into cash, the chart of accounts, and the reports.

How work moves through the app

  1. 1

    Set up the company

Company profile, currencies, document number formats, and cash or bank accounts come first. PDF letterheads use the name, brand, slogan, and contact details from settings.

  2. 2

    Record parties and the catalog

Customers, products or services, fleet, and vendors are the records later documents select from.

  3. 3

Create a quotation and a customer PO

A price quotation is stored per customer. A purchase order received from the customer can reference that quotation, then be used when creating a work order.

  4. 4

    Run the work order

One work order holds the service type, route, cargo, shipper and consignee, and shipment status. Progress is recorded per stage. A tracking number is issued when the status becomes Confirmed.

  5. 5

    Bill, collect, and record costs

Customer invoices link to the work order. Payments are recorded against a cash or bank account. On the vendor side there are purchase orders and vendor invoices. Operating expenses and tax remittances use the same accounts.

  6. 6

    Read the reports

Operational and financial reports read the transactions already posted. Every report can be exported to PDF. The journal and the general ledger can also be exported to Excel.
